Electrical Installation Surveys
Electrical installation represents physical equivalent of power distribution network that supports flow of power and may be perceived as the "energy infra-structure".

Electrical installation surveys review & assess the physical aspects of the installation such as

  1. Adequacy of installed capacity of transformer, DG, Switchgear, Cables.
  2. Identification of single point of failure that could result in major shutdown.
  3. Adequacy of earthing and grounding systems.
  4. Review of Installation practices referred to applicable standards.
  5. Review of documentation such as test reports, manuals, guarantee certificates, fault history log.
  6. Review of operation & maintenance practices, AMC terms, inventory, contingency plans, emergency response.
  7. Utility installation.
  8. Layout of equipments & adequacy of space.
  9. Review of Electrical and operational safety.
  10. Field services for measurement of earth resistance, electrical loading, insulation levels, etc.
  11. Thermal imaging to identify hot spots and potential conditions of equipment failure, fire & shock hazard due to overheating.

Report of installation survey informs the status of adequacy, redundancy, reliability, fault recovery and offers suggestions to improve upon.

Engineering support such as training, cost estimates for corrections, preparation of line drawings in AutoCAD, recommended spares, etc is available.

Customer benefits

  1. Minimize occurrence of faults leading to downtime and possible hazard to human life and property.
  2. Update on design adequacy of installation may save investment on future upgrade.
  3. Optimum utilization of installed capacity.
  4. Enhancement of reliability, safety and provision for contingencies.
